My name is Andrew Jeong, and this is my last quarter at UCLA as a political science major. As an undergraduate, for me, the truly passionate, helpful, and understanding faculty members were the lecturers. A university’s primary function should be the uphold their quality of education first and foremost, not resort to whatever is convenient or expedient for the administration. Lecturers are an essential part of the faculty at UCLA that makes it such a prestigious institution, and the June 30th lay-off would mean the end of all that. UCLA is not UCLA without the lecturers!
